Soy Sesame Dressing with Rainbow Salad

Here, I have decided to assemble a rainbow salad comprising of finely shredded white cabbage, purple cabbage, julienne red, yellow and green peppers, daikon, carrots and baby tomatoes. You can be as creative and as colorful as you want – let your inner child take over!

You can surely make this dressing ahead, or double up the recipe to keep them handy for future uses. Once you have this salad in your pantry, you will not want to trade it for anything else 🙂

 

 

Japanese Soy Sesame Dressing (serves 2)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1/4 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • Black and White Sesame seeds (optional)

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a bottle with a tight-lid jar. Shake it till all is well mixed. Pour over your favourite salad leaves.

TIP

Double up the recipe and store the dressing refrigerated in tight-lid jars for future uses.
